Krav Maga was created to be practical in the real world.
Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that combines practical techniques from other fighting styles like aikido, judo, boxing and wrestling.
By training at Winning Warrior Krav Maga, students are learning the essentials to be able to walk away after a dangerous situation occurs.
"Your concern isn't what it looks like. Your concern is going home."- David Rubinberg, Head Instructor, FEKS Martial Arts Center, Lynchburg VA
Krav Maga students learn how to reach the point of exhaustion and keep fighting.
Would-be-attackers target weak, tired and distracted victims. Winning Warrior students learn how to find their own personal best - training past the point where their body wants to settle for less. Students experience first hand their own power, strength and resilience in a safe and disciplined atmosphere.
Krav Maga students compete only against themselves.
Unlike ring-fighting or competitive martial arts, Winning Warrior's Krav Maga program pits students against their own growing strength and resistance. Students develop trust and respect for their training partner and for themselves as they progress week by week in speed, agility, strength and endurance.

Here's what to expect:
WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING
While you won't need special gear for your first session, you'll want to wear loose-fitting clothing and come prepared to sweat!
BRING AN EASY-TO-OPEN WATER CONTAINER
Classes move fast and you'll need to stay hydrated! Bring a sealing water container that you can easily flip open for a quick sip.
BE PREPARED TO BE A LITTLE SORE THE NEXT DAY
Krav Maga is so much fun that you may not notice at first just how much of a workout you're getting. Be sure to stretch thoroughly and continue to stay hydrated after class ends.
EVERYONE WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED
Krav Maga is not a competition. Everyone works together toward the common goal of being safer, stronger and healthier. Don't be surprised if you meet future life-long friends at your first session.
